Raleigh Wert was and old friend of mine. I met him in 1982 when I started working as a high school co-op at Dow Chemical. Raleigh was my boss but soon became a friend. He had a good sense of humor and liked to play jokes on me at work. He was a good man. I chose Liam's middle name due to my respect for Raleigh. We used to refer to them as 'Big Raleigh' and 'Little Raleigh'. Liam liked to talk to Raleigh on my 2 meter radio whenever we came to Midland. Raleigh passed away on August 20, 2008 and we will miss him.
